김혜수는 수중에서 근력운동과 유산소 운동을 병행하며 평소 건강관리와 몸매 관리를 함께 하고 있는 것으로 전해졌다.
특히 수중에서는 부력이 작용해 실제 몸무게보다 가벼운 무게를 지탱하면서 관절에 무리를 덜 줄수 있는 효과가 있다. 특히 하체 근력을 키우는데 유용하며 체지방 연소에도 효과를 볼수 있다.
